John Berry ‘Jack’ Hobbs. Surrey & England 1905-1934. Somerset v Surrey, Taunton, 15th- 18th August 1925. Original scorecard from the match where Hobbs made his 126th (101) and 127th (101no) centuries equalling and breaking W.G. Grace’s record of number of centuries scored. Surrey won by ten wickets. Originally from Hobbs’ personal collection. Sold with an official scorecard for Gentlemen v Players, Scarborough, 2nd- 4th September 1925 in which Hobbs scored 266no for the Players in their only innings. Nicely signed in black in by Hobbs. Match drawn. Adhesive marks to verso of both scorecards, otherwise in good/ very good condition.
