Arthur Edward Fagg. Kent & England 1932-1957. Two double centuries. Essex v Kent 1938. Official folding scorecard with complete printed scores for the match played at Colchester, 13th- 15th July 1938, in which Arthur Fagg became the first player to score a double century in each innings of a first-class match. Kent batted first and reached 429 (Fagg 244). In reply Essex scored 350 (T.N. Pearce 137no, Doug Wright taking 7/107). Kent then declared their second innings at 313/1 (Fagg 202no, Sunnucks 82), Essex ending 8/2 and the match drawn. Nicely signed in black ink, ‘Yours sincerely, Arthur E. Fagg’. Printed on the ground by Cullingford & Co., Colchester. Overall 10”x8.25”. Minor foxing, otherwise in very good condition.
