‘Champions of Cricket’. Gerald Brodribb. Cricket Book Society, Hunstanton 1947. 94pp. Limited edition of only forty copies produced bound in original navy cloth, gilt title to spine. Bookplate of Brodribb to inside front cover with handwritten dedication in ink to front endpaper to ‘Gerald [Brodribb], Best Wishes, Roy [Webber]’, Webber being the then Secretary of the Cricket Book Society. Minor wear to board extremities, otherwise in very good condition. Sold with a further copy, being the standard 96pp edition in original paper wrappers. Lightly laid down to the front endpaper is a single page handwritten letter dated ‘Aug 29’ from Brodribb to a Mr Batten accompanying the book. Fading to spine, wrappers cleanly detached, rusting to staples, otherwise in good/ very good condition. Padwick 104. Qty 2.
