Baxter. ‘Illustrated by an Elegant Copper-Plate Engraving’. 55pp. Bound in brown boards, original stiffened paper wrappers retained. Includes the folded frontispiece engraving of the ‘Cricketing’ scene, with a match in progress in the Paddock, a field below Lewes Castle, with a key to fielding positions. Ex Goldman collection. Roger Hancock, in his ‘A Handbook for William Lambert’s Guide’, states that this is only one of some twelve authenticated editions that contain a date of issue in the particulars of the book.
