Australia. ‘Who’s Who of Test Cricketers’. An extensive collection of over 230 signatures very nicely presented in four binders organised alphabetically. Each binder comprises signatures, the majority in ink on pieces, laid down with biographical extracts of each player taken from Christopher Martin-Jenkins’ book of the same title (originally published in 1983), with additional album pages, cigarette cards, photographs, commemorative covers, match ticket, cuttings etc. The odd signature duplicated. Binder ‘A-F’ comprises 67 signatures, earlier examples include Edward A’Beckett, Harry Alexander, Tommy Andrews, Warwick Armstrong, Sid Barnes, Warren Bardsley, Don Bradman (tightly trimmed), Ernest Bromley, Bill Brown, Hanson Carter, Arthur Chipperfield, Len Darling, Hans Ebeling, Sidney Emery (rare, with some trimming), Alan Fairfax (trimmed), Jack Fingleton, Chuck Fleetwood-Smith etc. ‘G-L’ 61 signatures including Syd Gregory, Clarrie Grimmett, Ron Hamence, Lindsay Hassett, Stork Hendry, Albert Hopkins, Percy Hornibrook, Alec Hurwood, Alan Kippax, Gil Langley, Hammy Love (on album page) etc., and a nice bold signature of Roger Hartigan. ‘M-R’ 61 including Charles Macartney, Stan McCabe, Ernie McCormick, Ted McDonald, Arthur Mailey, Keith Miller, Roy Minnett, Jack Moroney, Laurie Nash, Jack Nitschke, Monty Noble, Geoff Noblet, Leo O’Brien, Bert Oldfield, Bill O’Reilly, Nip Pellew, Bill Ponsford, Vernon Ransford, Arthur Richardson, Keith Rigg, Jack Ryder (trimmed) etc. ‘S-Z’ 46 including Ron Saggers, Don Tallon, Ernie Toshack, George Tribe, Hugh Trumble, Mervyn Waite, Tim Wall, Bill Whitty etc. including a very nice signature of Bill Woodfull. Very good condition.
