David Denton. Yorkshire & England 1894-1920. Attractive silver hallmarked cigarette case presented to Denton in the 1908 cricket season to commemorate him scoring two consecutive centuries for Yorkshire against M.C.C. at Scarborough in August and September 1908. The machine decorated case is engraved inside a floral cartouche ‘Presented to David Denton, by the Scarborough C.C. as a momento of his fine innings of 133 and 123 played by him for Yorkshire v M.C.C. at Scarborough on August 31st, September 1st and 2nd 1908’.
