Surrey C.C.C. 1886 & 1887. Two early original scorecards for matches played at Kennington Oval. One for the match v. Kent 19th- 21st August 1886 with complete printed scores. Surrey (176 & 130) beat Kent (142 & 125) by 39 runs. Kent’s ‘Nutty’ Martin took twelve wickets in the match. The other scorecard, with incomplete printed scores, is for Surrey v. Cambridge University, 20th- 22nd June 1887. Surrey (543) beat Cambridge (251 & 225) by an innings and 67 runs, Walter Read scoring 244 in Surrey’s only innings. Both scorecards printed on the ground by Wright & Co. (Cricket Press), London. Odd faults, overall in good condition.
