Test, tour and County scorecards 1926-1953. Twenty two original scorecards, all with printed and/ or handwritten scores. Includes Test matches for England v Australia at Kennington Oval 1926, 1953, and Lord’s 1948. Tour match scorecards for M.C.C. v Australians, Lord’s 1948, Surrey v New Zealanders, The Oval 1949, and Middlesex v West Indies, Lord’s 1950. Also Gentlemen v Players at Lord’s 1949, 1950, a good number of Surrey home County matches, and two matches played at Catford, H.J. Butler’s XI v Catford 6th August 1950, and E.A. Meads’ Notts XI v Catford 2nd August 1953. Sold with a scorecard for the Benson & Hedges Cup Final, Derbyshire v Hampshire, Lord’s 1988, signed by the eleven members of the victorious Hampshire team including Nicholas, Connor. R. & C. Smith, Terry, Turner, Cowley etc., a selection of match programmes and tour brochures, and a mounted bookplate image of John Tyldesley. Odd faults to earlier scorecards, otherwise in good condition.
