Aston Villa F.C. Original mosaic piece reclaimed when the Trinity Road stand was demolished, 20th May 2000. The mosaic tiles are laid to a section of concrete measuring approx. 10”x9”x5”, showing a section of the letter ‘D’ from the Club motto, ‘Prepared’. The block is displayed in a wooden box measuring 17”x13.5”x7.5”. Sold with certificate of authenticity. Good condition.
The Trinity Road Stand was built c.1922 and was considered one of the grandest in the country with stained glass windows, mosaics and a sweeping staircase. It was demolished in 2000 to be replaced by the current stand.
