Australia and West Indies tours to England 1953 & 1957. Two signed bats. Stuart Surridge ‘Extra Special’ full size bat signed in ink to the verso by fifteen members of the Australian touring party for the match played at Worcester 29th April- 1st May 1953. Signatures include Hassett (Captain), Morris, de Courcey, Langley (signed twice), Hole, Tallon, Harvey, Miller, Lindwall etc. also Perks, Broadbent, Jenkins, Devereaux (Worcestershire) and E.W. Swanton, Brian Johnston, Peter West etc. Signatures faded, some barely legible. Also a Lambert’s ‘Test Selection’ full size bat signed in ink to the face by one member of the West Indies touring party 1957, appears to be Everton Weekes but faded. Also signed to the verso, legible signatures include Spooner, Hollies, Bannister, S. Singh of Warwickshire, Brookes, Berrick, Clarke, Manning, Kelleher, Norman, Tyson, Fellows-Smith of Northampton, also faded Worcestershire and Surrey signatures. The bats in good condition.
