Scarborough Cricket Festival 1951. Four mono real photograph plain back postcards of teams at Scarborough, the players depicted standing in one row wearing cricket attire in front of the pavilion. Includes the M.C.C. team for the match v Yorkshire, 1st- 4th September, one of each team for Gentlemen v Players, 5th- 7th September, and T.N. Pearce’s XI v South Africans, 8th- 11th September 1951. Players’ names annotated to verso of each postcard include Insole, May, Bailey, Tattersall, Simpson, Brown, Doggart, Edrich, W. Sutcliffe, Yardley, Griffith, Cowdrey, Dawkes, Preston, Wilson, Hutton, Watson, Bedser, Graveney, Pritchard, Evans etc. Three postcards with annotated title to front border, all with official stamp to verso for Walkers Studios, Scarborough. Very good condition.
