Scarborough Cricket Festival 1957 & 1958. Four mono real photograph plain back postcards of teams at Scarborough, players depicted standing in one row wearing cricket attire in front of the pavilion. Teams depicted are Players (v Gentlemen) 4th- 6th September 1957, M.C.C. (v Yorkshire) 3rd- 5th September 1958, Gentlemen (v Players) 6th- 8th September 1958, and T.N. Pearce’s XI (v New Zealanders) 10th- 12th September 1958. Players featured include Hutton, Tattersall, Watson, A. Bedser, Tyson, Dexter, Singh, Ingleby-McKenzie, Silk, Goonesena, Petrie, Smith, T. & J. Bailey, May, Insole, Richardson, Trueman etc. Players’ names annotated to verso. The three 1958 postcards with titles annotated in ink to lower border and official stamp for Walkers Studio, Scarborough to verso of each, the 1957 unstamped. Very good condition.
