Mono (restrike?) press photograph of Allen three quarter length wearing cricket attire, seated on the balcony at Lord’s. Signed in blue ink to the photograph by Allen. 6.25”x8.25”. Central Press Photos. Also an original mono wartime press photograph of ten cricketers who were present, nine of them playing in the Sir P.F. Warners XI v West Indies XI cricket match played at Lord’s on the 22nd August 1940. The majority of the ten players are standing and sitting in front of the pavilion wearing service uniforms of the R.A.F., Army and Navy. Players are Billy Griffith, Grenville Stevens, R.M.V.
