Australia tour to England 1926. Derbyshire v Australians. Original mono photograph of the two teams for the drawn tour match played at Chesterfield, 23rd & 24th June 1926. The players and officials seated and standing in rows wearing cricket attire, caps and blazers. Players featured include Collins, Bardsley, Woodfull, Grimmett, Ryder, Oldfield, Mailey (Australia), Bowden, Lee, Townsend, Jackson, Storer, Worthington, Jackson (Derbyshire) etc. A nice image in very good condition. The photograph measures 8”x5.25”, laid to mount card with photographer’s stamp to verso of H.J. Morgan of Chesterfield. Overall 8.25”x5.75”. Sold with an original head and shoulders portrait photograph of Harry Storer in cameo wearing Derbyshire cap. Storer played in the match against the Australians. 4.25”x6” laid to contemporary page, photographer unknown. Also a mono copy photograph of Storer standing full length in England football attire.
