The Ashes. England v Australia 1953-1980. Eleven large original mono (one colour) press photographs of action, crowd scenes and team photographs from Ashes series of the period. From the 5th Test at The Oval in 1953, Bill Edrich in batting action for England, Graeme Hole of Australia diving to stop a cut shot by Edrich through the slips, and two scenes of packed crowds. Ten members of the England team setting sail from Tilbury for the 1954/55 tour to Australia including May, Tyson, Graveney, Appleyard, Wilson etc. Two from the opening match of the 1956 tour at Arundel, one with Keith Miller hitting out, the other of Colin Cowdrey being bowled out by Richie Benaud. Two of action from the 1st Test, Trent Bridge 1964 featuring Graham McKenzie, Jim Parks, Len Coldwell, Ted Dexter, Bob Hawke, Wally Grout, one signed by Bob Simpson. Also two team photographs, one of the Australians at Arundel 1968, the other a colour photo of the teams and past Test players for the Centenary Test at Lord’s 1980.
