A good selection of seventeen original mono press photographs of matches, players, teams etc. Includes a mono photograph of the teams for a charity match played at Filleigh C.C., Devon, in 1952. Notable players featured include Maurice Tremlett, Fred Trueman, Denis Compton, Tom Graveney, Reg Simpson, John Warr, Bob Wyatt, Brian Statham, Jim Swanton etc. (folds with tape repair to verso). Others feature groundsmen rolling the blanket covered wicket in the Test match v West Indies at Old Trafford 1939 in a rain interruption, the scoreboard at Guildford when Derbyshire beat Surrey by an innings in 1939, spectators entering Lord’s for a one day match v Australians at Lord’s 1944, Denis Compton batting v Australia 1948, Hutton and Simpson walking out to bat v West Indies at Old Trafford 1950, Derek Underwood bowling 1963, M.C.C. team walking on to the field at Lord’s for M.C.C. v West Indies 1966, Stewart Storey of Surrey bowled out in the tour match v West Indies 1966, Geoff Boycott batting his way to a century for England v India in Delhi 1981, Ian Botham and Garry Sobers playing in a double wicket competition 1982. Also team photographs of the 1969 West Indies touring party, Yorkshire team 1962, and player portrait photographs of Keith Miller in 1948, Richie Benaud of Australia 1962, Conrad Hunte of West Indies 1966, and the B.B.C.
