Gentlemen v Players 1866. Early official fully printed scorecard for the match played at Surrey County Cricket Club, The Kennington Oval on 28th June ‘and following days’ 1866 with advertising to reverse. Scorecard printed at The Oval by Merser & Gardner of Kensington Cross. The Gentlemen beat the Players by 98 runs. W.G. Grace made 7 and 34 and took nine wickets in the match, seven in the Players second innings, Alfred Shaw top scored with 70 batting at number ten for the Players, Wootton took eight wickets in the match, six in the Gentlemans first innings. Other players involved include E.M. Grace, Jupp, Mortlock, T. Hearne, Humphrey, J. Lillywhite, Lyttelton, R.D., V.E. and I.D. Walker, Buller etc. Some soiling and slight wear otherwise in generally good/very good condition. Rare
