Kumar Shri Ranjitsinhji. Cambridge University, Sussex, London County & England 1893-1920. ‘Complimentary And Farewell Dinner to H.H. Ranjitsinhji Maharaja Jam Sahib of Nawanagar’. Original four page menu, with printed yellow textured card wrappers and ribbon tie, for the Dinner held at The Guildhall, Cambridge on Monday 19th October 1908. Titles to front wrapper, inside pages with images of Ranjitsinhji, menu, Toasts and Music, listing of the General Committee, and brief summary of Ranjitsinhji’s cricket record to the inside back cover. The menu signed to the front wrapper cover in pencil by W.G. Grace, Arthur Conan Doyle, G.J.V. Weigall, T. Hayward, J.T. Hearne, C.B. Fry etc., and to the inside photographic image by Ranjitsinhji. A similar menu was sold by Knights in the E.M. Grace sale of 2015 as Lot 65. The front wrapper is split cleanly at the spine to the top left hand (hinged) corner, with wear, tears and tape repairs. Internally in good/very good condition. Rare.
