Kumar Shri Ranjitsinhji. Cambridge University, Sussex, London County & England 1893-1920. Two early original real photograph sepia postcards depicting a shooting party on the Castle Goring Estate of A.W.F. Somerset who is featured with Ranji, A.C. Maclaren and others. Both postcards titled ‘H.H. the Jam of Nawanagar (Prince Ranji) at Castle Goring, Novr. 1907’. Photographs by Tuft. Both postally unused. Very good condition. Excellent images. Rare.
Soon after his installation as Jam Saweb of Nawanagar in 1907, Ranji was struck down with typhoid. Later in the year he travelled with his brother and other family members to England to recuperate.
