Surrey C.C.C. 1893-1898. Five early original scorecards for County matches played at Kennington Oval, all with incomplete printed and/ or handwritten scores unless stated. Matches are v Nottinghamshire 7th & 8th August 1893, Surrey won by ten wickets. v Warwickshire 7th- 9th 1894, Warwickshire won by seven wickets, annotation to front ‘First time Warwickshire beat Surrey’, complete printed scores. v Sussex 28th- 30th June 1894, Surrey won by six wickets. v Essex 28th- 30th July 1898, Surrey won by five wickets. v Lancashire 18th- 20th August 1898, match drawn. Each 4.5”x6”. Light folds to three cards, some soiling and age toning, overall in generally good condition.
