Sussex C.C.C. 1891-1894. Four early original double-sided scorecards, three for County for matches played at Hove with incomplete printed and handwritten scores in pencil unless stated. County matches are v Lancashire 24th & 25th August 1891, Lancashire won by an innings and 43 runs (Mold eleven wickets for Lancashire). v Kent 22nd- 24th August 1892, match drawn (le Fleming 134 for Kent, Brann 105 & 101 for Sussex). v Lancashire 13th- 15th August 1894, Lancashire won by six wickets (Mold took fifteen wickets in the match for Lancashire), complete printed scores. All three printed by Crowhurst of Brighton. Also ‘Geo. Bean’s XI v Fifteen of Sussex’ played at Worthing Park, 20th & 21st September 1893, result not known, no record of the match found. Printed by G.R. Hill of Worthing. Local advertising to verso of all. Each 5”x7.5”. Nicks and soiling to the 1891 card. The 1892 & 1894 cards with loss to edges and corners, age toning, the 1892 with splitting to fold. Horizontal fold and some wear to the 1893 card. Overall in fair condition.
