Billiards and snooker. Walter Lindrum. Mono real photograph postcard of Lindrum captioned ‘A Souvenir of my Australian tour in aid of the Red Cross and Comforts Fund, sponsored by the distributors of Black & White Cigarettes 1942’. Nicely signed in ink to the verso, ‘Walllie Lindrum’, with dedication. Some scorch marks to the card otherwise in good condition. Sold with an original advertising postcard of Lindrum produced by ‘Janus’ billiard cloth. Old tape marks to edges and small adhesive marks to verso, good. Also four signatures in ink, one of Joe Davis window mounted below a mono photograph, one of Fred Davis on piece laid down, and two others of Ray Reardon and John Spencer. Good condition. Qty 6.
Walter Albert Lindrum was an Australian professional billiards player who held the World Professional Billiards Championship from 1933 until his retirement in 1950.
