Horse racing. Paul Louis Emile Loiseau-Rousseau, Paris 1861-1927. A fine late 19th century French bronze sculpture of a steeplechase race horse and jockey beautifully captured in full flight while taking a jump over a naturalistically cast hedge on similar base. The bronze, by Paul Louis Emile Loiseau-Rousseau, Paris c.1895, is signed to the base ‘E. Loiseau’. The piece measures 15”x7”x12” and weighs 8.5kg (18.75lbs). Very good condition....
