John Berry ‘Jack’ Hobbs. Surrey & England 1905-1934. Single page letter handwritten in ink from Hobbs to ‘Dear Mr Harvey’. Dated 5th August 1963 and writing from Hove just four months before his death, Hobbs is replying to a request for information about some ‘gramophone recordings... I regret to say that nothing has come to my assistance, which is not surprising when we remember it is perhaps 40 or 50 years when these recordings took place’. Very nicely signed ‘J.B. Hobbs’. Very good condition.
