Wykeham Stanley (Lord) Cornwallis. Kent 1919-1926. Single page handwritten letter on Lord Cornwallis’ official letterhead at Ashurst Park, Tunbridge Wells. In an undated letter to a ‘Mr Wells’, Cornwallis is replying to a request for his photograph, but is unable to find one with ‘a real cricket flavour. I therefore am signing this letter and also sending a further signature’. Nicely signed ‘Cornwallis’. Below, Cornwallis lists his playing career, ‘Kent XI 1919-1926. Capt. Kent XI 1924, 25, 26. President M.C.C. 1948. Capt. York City Council League 1913-14’. Light folds. Very good condition.
