Large, attractive original panoramic mono photograph of Ellis Park, Johannesburg, taken during the second Test, 27th-30th December 1948, depicting the match in progress with huge crowds in attendance. Printed title to lower mount border. Previously sold as lot 434 in the Christie’s M.C.C. Bicentenary Auction, 13th April 1987. The photograph measures approx. 35”x11”, mounted, framed and glazed, overall 41”x16.5”. Photographer unknown. An excellent image in very good condition
