Hedley Verity. Yorkshire & England 1930-1939. M.C.C. tour of Australia ‘Bodyline’ 1932/33. A selection of thirty six mono press photographs, the majority from the tour. Photographs include Hedley packing his cricket bag before leaving, ticker-tape goodbye on the ship, Verity, McCabe, Bradman and Vic Richardson at a railway halt in the desert, Verity and Bowes on a beach, Bradman walking out to bat, deck cricket on board ship, Bowes and Verity, action images of play at Melbourne and Adelaide, group of players with loaded cars behind them, Bowes on a boat, Voce, Mitchell, Bowes and Verity on board ship, Duckworth snoozing on board ship, Lonergan, ct Duckworth bowled Verity at Perth, group of Verity, Paynter and Brown, Jardine, Sutcliffe, Hammond and Wyatt walking out to field etc. Various sizes, smallest 5.5”x3.5”, largest 8”x10”. Odd faults, generally good condition. Sold with a signed letter of provenance to this effect from G. Douglas Verity, son of Hedley, to the vendor and dated September 2003
