Hedley Verity. Yorkshire & England 1930-1939. M.C.C. tour of India 1933/34. A selection of twenty three mono press photographs featuring Verity and his team mates. Photographs include players onboard ship ready for the voyage to commence including Verity, Walters, Mitchell, Nichols, Levett etc, group of players in the country wearing pith helmets including Mitchell and Barnett, Arthur Mitchell at a border post, players posing with a stuffed lion and tiger for a photo-shoot, Bowes looking at photographs sat at a table drinking a beer, Barnett and Verity in bathing suits, Verity and members of the team including Farnes and Barnett at a railway station, Verity full length in pith helmet etc. Various sizes, smallest 6.5”x6.5”, largest 8”x10”. Odd faults, generally good condition. Sold with a signed letter of provenance to this effect from G. Douglas Verity, son of Hedley, to the vendor and dated September 2003
