On the 27th August 1936 Hedley Verity was playing for Yorkshire against Sussex at Hove, it was day two of the match. Verity took two wickets in the match and in his only innings made 40 runs. Thomas Moult was a English journalist and writer who wrote on cricket. He wrote ‘Bat and Ball’ 1935, ‘Great Stories on Sport’ 1931 etc
