‘Nottinghamshire v. Sussex’ 1897. Early original double sided scorecard for the match played at Trent Bridge 10th- 12th May 1897 with complete printed and handwritten scores in pencil. Sussex (255 & 119) lost to Nottinghamshire (448/7 declared) by an innings and 74 runs. Nottinghamshire’s captain, John Dixon, scored 268no in their only innings with Dick Attewell taking 6/40 in Sussex’s second innings. Printed on the ground by Charles Richards of Nottingham. Local advertising to verso. 4.5”x7.25”. Minor soiling, otherwise in good condition.
