‘The South Wales Cricketers Magazine’ 1948-1953. A near complete run of the magazine bound as one volume in modern green cloth, gilt title to spine, original wrappers retained. Comprises a run of issues from Volume 1, no. 1 July 1948 to Volume 6, no. 1, April-May 1953 (final issue), lacking three issues, Vol. II nos. 1-3 (May, June, July). Padwick 1209, 3165. Some nicks and wear to some original wrappers, internally in good condition.
Published in Newport, the magazine ran from July 1948 to April/ May 1953 with three editors, Harold H. Jarrett 1948-1951, J.W. Speight 1952, and Tim Saunders 1953. In the July 1950 issue the title was changed to ‘The Cricketers Magazine’.
