Cricket programmes, benefit and souvenir brochures, annuals, first day covers 1960s-1980s. A good selection from the collection of Alan Curtis, English actor and Lord’s cricket announcer. Some items signed including brochures and programmes for Lord’s Taverners v Old England’, Trent Bridge 1968, signed to inside page by Harold Larwood. A Cunard brochure for the Pat Pocock Benefit Boxing Evening 1977, signed to inside by seven including Tony Greig, John Snow, Godfrey Evans, John Edrich, Jim Laker etc. ‘1880-1980 Centenary Test Match Dinner’ menu signed to the front by Dickie Bird, Kim Hughes, Stork Hendry, Graeme Wood, David Constant and Stuart Surridge. ‘Freddie Trueman’s Tribute to Brian Statham’ signed by Trueman, Statham and Ted Dexter. A benefit brochure signed by Colin ‘Bomber’ Wells. Also a selection of commemorative covers, one for the Australian Centennial Tour 1977 signed by Herbert Sutcliffe and Geoff Boycott, and two official limited edition collections in binders, ‘The Glory of Lord’s’, Stamp Publicity no. 999/1000, and ‘England Australia Bicentennial Souvenir’, no. 576/700, both issued to Curtis. Good/ very good condition.
