Cricket belt buckle. An excellent oblong shaped belt buckle in silver metal overlaid with soft gilt metal to centre, decorated with bats and sets of stumps to silver metal and the central image with Union jack flag intertwined with an anchor on a cord. This buckle was made as a tradesman’s sample. Circa 1870. Approximately 3”x1.5”. The buckle in bright mint unused original condition and loosely mounted to card by thread with ref number ‘12302G’ to paper piece below Previously sold by Christie’s Auctioneers in June 1997
