Australia tour to England 1938. Nine mono real photograph postcards, of which eight are of an individual member of the Australian touring party in various cricketing poses, all Raphael Tuck ‘Australian Cricketer’ series no. 3839 with printed player’s name to lower border. Players featured are Bradman (card ‘H’ in the series), Fleetwood-Smith (‘A’), Barnett (‘B’), O’Reilly (‘C’), McCabe (‘D’), Badcock (‘E’), Chipperfield (‘F’), and Fingleton (‘G’). The Fingleton card with correspondence in ink to verso, others all postally unused. Crease to the Chipperfield card, surface damage to the Fleetwood-Smith. Other odd minor faults, otherwise in good condition. Sold with a sepia real photograph postcard of the 1938 Australia touring party seated and standing in rows wearing tour blazers, nicely signed in ink to the verso by Bill O’Reilly. Small loss to corners, otherwise in good condition. Qty 9.
