Warwick Windridge Armstrong. Victoria & Australia. 1898-1921. Tinted colour printed postcard of Armstrong, full length, in batting pose wearing Australian cap at Lord’s during the Australian tour of England in 1909. Nicely signed in black ink by Armstrong. Printed details to lower border ‘W. Armstrong, Victoria’. This card is from an anonymous series which comprised all sixteen members of the 1909 Australian tourists. An identical series was issued by R Empson & Co but these were mono postcards. Small old adhesive marks to corners of verso otherwise in good condition
