M.C.C./ England tours to Australia 1924/25-1936/37. Four mono/ sepia postcards of England touring teams of the period. Tours are 1924/25 printed card with printed Christmas greetings to verso. 1928/29 real photograph with printed title ‘The Team Who Brought Back The Ashes’, and another, slightly smaller real photograph postcard card titled ‘M.C.C. Australian Tour 1928-29’. 1932/33 ‘Bodyline’ real photograph postcard of the R.M.S. Orontes with cameos of the members of the touring party and facsimile signatures, titled ‘Bringing Home The Ashes’. Publishers unknown. Sold with a mono postcard size photograph of the England team at Perth on the 1936/37 tour. Players featured include Gilligan, Hobbs, Woolley, Douglas, Freeman, Sutcliffe, Chapman, Hendren, Jardine, Hammond, Tate, Larwood, Verity, Allen, Wyatt, Leyland, Ames, Hardstaff etc. Odd minor faults, otherwise in good condition.
