The Ashes. M.C.C. tour to Australia 1936/37. Ten original sepia toned postcards of head and shoulders images of members of the M.C.C. touring party. Issued by Amalgamated Press in 1936, each card is printed to verso ‘This is a real photogravure portrait’ with biographical details of the featured player. Players are Allen (Captain), Robins, Hardstaff, Hammond, Worthington, Fishlock, Duckworth, Verity, Fagg and Leyland. All postally unused. Small stain to the Hardstaff card, minor wear to corners, otherwise in good/ very good condition.
