John Berry ‘Jack’ Hobbs. Surrey & England 1905-1934. Glass plate negative of Hobbs, full length, wearing M.C.C. blazer and in cricket attire holding a cricket bat to side. The plate was struck for the M.C.C. tour of Australia in 1924/25 under the name Don Photo Series, produced by Rose Stenographic Company founded in Melbourne in 1880 and operated right up to 2020. Sold with two reproduction photographs taken recently from the negative. Good condition
