Early cricket cards. Three 19th century colour chromolithograph cricket cards each with a different image of a boy cricketer, two wearing a red cap, the other with red and blue quartered cap. Two cards are titled ‘Batsman’ and ‘Fielder’, both overprinted in the top panel by advertisers, the other titled ‘Bowled’ has been trimmed, lacking the advertising panel. The ‘Batsman’ card with further printed advertising to verso, others plain back. All ‘Copyright 1881 by O.J. Ramsdell’ (Ross Climax Cigars of U.S.A). The untrimmed cards measure 3”x5”. Some wear and small tears to edges of two cards, otherwise in good condition. Rare.
