Early cricket cards. Four 19th century colour chromolithograph plain back cricket cards, each depicting the same image of a sprawling boy with flying stumps, titled ‘Bowled Out’. Three are printed in blue, one in red, all with a gold coloured sky. Two cards overprinted by advertisers for American retail outlets, all ‘Copyright 1881 by Geo. M. Hayes’ (U.S.A.). Each card measures 3”x4.5”. Some wear to edges and corner of one card, minor age toning, otherwise in good condition. Rare.
