John [& James] Lillywhite’s Cricketers’ Annuals 1871-1900. A good run of the ‘green’ and ‘red’ Lillywhites. Includes eleven issues of ‘John [& James] Lillywhite’s Cricketers’ Companion’ (‘green Lillywhite’) for years 1871-1885. The 1871 in original wrappers, with minor loss to wrapper extremities, otherwise in good/ very good condition. Issues 1873, 1874, 1876 & 1877 bound together in one volume, lacking covers and original wrappers. The 1878 in original wrappers with loss to spine and wear. The 1879, 1880, 1882, 1883 issues bound together in one volume, lacking covers and original wrappers. 1884 and 1885 issues in original wrappers, both with some loss to spine, rear wrapper of the 1884 and front wrapper of the 1885 detached. Also a near complete run of twenty issues of ‘James Lillywhite’s Cricketers’ Annual’ (‘red Lillywhite’) for years 1880-1900, lacking 1885. Each individually bound in original red wrappers. All issues from 1881 onwards with frontispiece photoplate as issued. 1883, 1887 with broken page block, 1886 faded boards, 1890 wrappers detached, 1899 with old tape repairs to internal hinges. Others with varying degrees of staining, soiling, breaking to internal hinges, otherwise in generally good condition.
