Bound in original brown cloth, title in black to front and in gilt to spine. Padwick 6672. Slipped in is a single page handwritten ‘Good news’ letter from the publisher to Christian informing that he has ‘induced Messrs Smith & Son to take 500 copies of “At the Sign of the Wicket” for their bookstalls’, signed by Arrowsmith and dated 18th May 1895. Good/ very good condition.
