Yorkshire early 1900s. Four photographs of Yorkshire players. Large photogravure print with printed title, ‘F.S. Jackson, England’s Captain 1905 by G.W. Beldam’ in batting pose jumping out. Appears to be signed in pencil ‘Photo by George Beldam’. Overall 13”x20.5”. Some staining, surface wear and age toning. Tunnicliffe and Denton depicted three quarter length in cricket attire and Yorkshire caps. Approx. 8”x12”, mounted overall 15”x17”. Silvering and some fading to the photograph, wear to mount. Lord Hawke in batting pose, photograph by E. Hawkins & Co., Brighton. 9.25”x11.75”, laid to photographer’s mount, overall 13”x16”. Surface damage, staining and wear. ‘H.A. Tanner’s Team’. Original mono photograph on card mount of Tanner’s team standing in one row wearing cricket attire on the pitch. Pencil annotation to verso describes Saddleworth & District playing an invitation team at Greenfield Cricket Ground, Saddleworth, in 1927. Featured in the photograph are Yorkshire players, Sutcliffe, Holmes, Rhodes, Leyland, Macaulay, Mitchell, Robinson and Birtles. Overall 12”x8”. Faults as described, overall in fair/ good condition.
