Peter Ralph Cherrington. Leicestershire 1938. Mono real photograph postcard of Cherrington, head and shoulders in cameo. Very nicely signed in black ink below the image. Dated to verso 1938. Sold with a mono real photograph postcard of the 1938 Leicestershire team, the players seated and standing in rows wearing cricket attire. Dated annotated in ink to verso ‘April 11th 1940’. Both postcards with official stamp to verso for Albert Wilkes & Son, West Bromwich. Small adhesive marks to verso of the team postcard, otherwise in very good condition. Qty 2.
Peter Cherrington played only ten first-class matches, all for Leicestershire in 1938. He was killed in action in Burma in the Second World War.
