‘All-England v. [Twenty Two of] Morley and District’ 1862. Early original single sided scorecard with complete printed scores for the match played at Nelson Ground, Morley, 10th- 12th July 1862. All-England are depicted batting first and reaching 124, captain George Parr top scorer with 41. The twenty two of Morley replied with 156, Edgar Willsher taking eight wickets. All-England then scored 119 in their second innings (George Anderson 35). Set 88 to win, Morley found themselves at 87/18, the scores level and with two wickets in hand. The match was declared a draw and All-England were lucky to avoid defeat. Willsher took a further nine wickets in the second innings to end with match figures of seventeen wickets for 63 runs. Other notable players for All-England include C. Daft, T. Hayward, G. Anderson, G. Tarrant, Tinley etc. 4.5”x6”. Printer unknown. Some age toning, otherwise in good/ very good condition.
