‘Grand Cricket Match. All England Eleven and 22 of Leeds & District’ 1862. Early original single sided scorecard with near complete printed scores for the match played at Leeds Royal Park, 11th- 13th August 1862. The All-England innings are listed first, but it is understood Leeds batted first, reaching 57, with only S. France (11) reaching double figures. Crispin Tinley took 11/34 and Isaac Hodgson 9/21 for All-England. In reply, All-England reached 91, Thomas Humphrey top scorer with 39. Leeds then matched this score in their second innings, also making 91, Tinley taking a remarkable 19 wickets for 43 runs. Tinley and Hodgson bowled unchanged throughout both innings. All-England were then bowled out for 47, Alfred Clarke (11) the only batsman to reach double figures, and Leeds won by ten runs. Others who played for All-England included C.F. Daft, J. Rowbotham, Roger Iddison, Julius Caesar etc. 4.5”x6”. Printer unknown. Minor wear and soiling, otherwise in good/ very good condition.
