‘Grand Cricket Match. Yorkshire versus Nottinghamshire 1869. Early original single sided scorecard with incomplete printed scores for the match played at Bramall Lane, Sheffield, 16th- 18th August 1869. Nottinghamshire batted first and reached 213 (Richard Daft 50, Tom Emmett 5/64). In reply Yorkshire made 205 (Joseph Rowbotham 100, George Wootton 5/64). In the second innings Nottinghamshire were bowled out for 79 (Daft 31no), with Emmett (7/35) and George Freeman (3/40) bowling unchanged. Yorkshire then knocked off the required runs to close 89/5 and secure victory by five wickets. Tom Emmett ended with match bowling figures of twelve wickets for 111 runs. Printed by W.
