Hampshire C.C.C. 1900 & 1901. Three early original scorecards including two single sided cards for matches played at the County Ground, Southampton. One for the match v. Leicestershire, 23rd- 25th August 1900, Leicestershire won by six wickets, Ledger Hill taking 6/22 for Hampshire in Leicestershire’s first innings, John King and Freddy Geeson taking five wickets each in Hampshire’s second innings, Geeson taking ten in the match. Playing for Hampshire, Walter Humphreys made his last first-class appearance. Horizontal fold. Also the match v. Derbyshire, 27th- 29th May 1901, Hampshire won by two wickets, Sydney Evershed scoring 123 in an opening partnership of 170 in Derbyshire’s first innings, John Greig taking 6/38 for Hampshire. Both 4.75”x7.25”. Sold with an original scorecard for Leicestershire v. Hampshire, Aylestone Road, Leicester, 15th- 17th July 1901, which Hampshire won by 121 runs (Greig 114 & 50), Hampshire’s Buck Llewellyn bowling them to victory taking eight of the nine Leicestershire wickets to fall. Horizontal fold. Printed on the ground by Batty & Co., Leicester. 5.75”x10”. Some foxing and other minor faults, otherwise in good condition.
