Middlesex C.C.C. 1902 & 1904. Three early original double sided scorecards for county matches played at Lord’s. Scorecards are Middlesex v. Yorkshire, 21st & 22nd August 1902. A low scoring match on a difficult wicket in which Middlesex scored 99 & 93, Yorkshire 125 & 68/7, Yorkshire winning by three wickets, Bernard Bosanquet with 6/268 for Middlesex in the first innings, Schofield Haigh taking fifteen wickets for 79 runs for Yorkshire in the match. Adhesive mark to verso where previously laid down, with the initials ‘C.P.F’ of Cyril Foley who played for Middlesex in this game, and from whose collection this came. Middlesex v. Yorkshire, 2nd- 4th June 1904. Complete printed and handwritten scores in pencil. Middlesex scored 214 (George Hirst 6/66) & 95 (Schofield Haigh 6/25), Yorkshire 72 & 160 (Jack Hearne 6/48), Middlesex winning by 77 runs. Middlesex v. Nottinghamshire, 13th- 15th June 1904. Incomplete printed scores for the match in which Nottinghamshire scored 377 in their only innings (Jimmy Iremonger 189), Middlesex being bowled out twice for 165 and 192, Tom Wass taking ten wickets for 165 runs in the match, Nottinghamshire winning by an innings and 20 runs. All three measure 5”x8.25” with printed fixtures at Lord’s to verso. Odd faults to one scorecard as described, otherwise in very good condition.
