Australia tour to England 1902. England v Australia. Early original double sided scorecard listing the two teams at the start of play for the 2nd Test match at Lord’s June 12th 1902. The second Test match was restricted to 105 minutes of play, rain and poor pitch conditions accounting for the rest. The match was abandoned at quarter past eleven on the third morning, with the ground almost under water. The match still holds the Test match record for the highest match aggregate without an extra. England batted and made 102-2, they lost both the wickets of Fry and Ranji without scoring a run, MacLaren 47 and Jackson 55 were the not out batsmen. Printed fixtures for matches at Lord’s in 1902 to verso. The scorecard with partial incomplete scores in pencil. Horizontal half way down the scorecard otherwise in good condition. A rare scorecard due to the weather conditions and match circumstances.
